Installation Instructions for Avast Antivirus

This is an antivirus program much like Norton Antivirus or McAfee Antivirus. Before you install Avast, you must uninstall any other antivirus programs on your computer and have internet access. YOU DO NOT NEED ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE TO GET ONTO RESNET, HOWEVER TO REMAIN ON THE NETWORK, YOU MUST HAVE ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE INSTALLED ON YOUR COMPUTER.

1. Go to http://www.avast.com/eng/down_home.html.
2. Click on Download.
3. When prompted, save the installer to your desktop.
4. Once the installer has finished downloading, open/run the installer.
5. In the installation process, click Next >.
6. Click Next.
7. Select I Agree, Click Next.
8. Click Next.
9. Click Next.
10. Click Next.
11. Click Yes.
12. Click Finish.
13. Allow your system to reboot and be scanned for viruses.
